Image descriptionUnited Methodist Women is an extension of the mission arm of the church, whose purpose is to reach out to the needy, hungry and hopeless. The UMW provides outreach opportunities, Bible studies, and missions work all while laughing, learning, serving and praying with other women.

All ladies are welcome! You do not have to be a member.

2nd Tuesday of each month at 10 a.m.

    Purpose:

The organized unit of the United Methodist Women is a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

    UMW In Action:

Our mission projects include sponsoring many local, national and international needs.

    • We sponsor missionaries from several different countries. Our missions page also provides more information on how anyone can sponsor a missionary.
    • We support Red Bird Mission located in Beverly, Kentucky. Red Bird Mission, guided by Jesus Christ, empowers individuals and advocates justice by providing spiritual, educational, health, and community outreach ministries.  Our Red Bird support is funded by:
    • Saving Campbell’s Soup labels. These labels are sent to Red Bird Mission to be used to purchase needed items for their school.

Visit the Red Bird Mission web site at www.rbmission.org.

    • Funds for local mission projects are raised by:
    • Saving our pennies and turning them in at the November meeting. These go to a project as designated by the local unit.

Supporting local food pantries by bringing canned food items to meetings.
